November Construction Update

Construction of Sideline Flats is underway! Despite the cold weather, and already several inches of snow, the CPM Construction team has been hard at work building your dream home. In October we began excavation of the former Mulligan’s Bar property, power lines/poles were removed, and the soil was tested to prepare for pouring the foundation. With excavation out of the way, we’re ready to start building!
With any construction project, the foundation is the most crucial step in building. This is especially true for a project of this scale. We’re taking extra precautions to make sure the foundation of Sideline Flats is equipped to support the weight of a 4-story, 27-unit building and can withstand the extreme Michiana weather.
So what’s in store for the upcoming weeks? Before more extreme winter weather hits, we will be pouring the foundation, forming the walls of the elevator/stairwells, and will be adding to the storm system. Construction of the secured-parking garage (which will be located behind the retail spaces on the ground level) will begin shortly after the foundation is set.
