Parks & Trails
St. Josephs & St. Marys Lakes
Between the campuses of the University of Notre Dame and Holy Cross College are 2.2 miles of beautiful wooded trails around Saint Marys and Saint Josephs Lakes. These trails are partially paved making them great for walking the dog, hiking with kids, or trail running. It's a lovely dose of nature within Notre Dame.
Howard Park
In downtown South Bend, sits a park that truly has it all. In the summer families can enjoy new playground equipment, interactive water fountains, and roller skating. In the winter, Howard Park is the place to be for outdoor ice skating! When you need a break from playing, head into Howard Park Public House for cocoa or a cocktail. They're open year-round for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offer a wide variety of great food and drinks for all ages.
Potawatomi Park & Zoo
Potawatomi Park and Zoo are located 2.5 miles from Sideline Flats. The park includes a new Splash Pad feature, an exercise track, a large Universally Accessible Playground, the Kids’ Kingdom playground, an outdoor Performance Arts Pavilion, and rentable pavilions to host groups of 50-300 people. Next to the park is one of the South Bend community's favorite places, Potawatomi Zoo! As Indiana's second-oldest Zoo, they are always looking to improve and expand. The zoo currently spans over 23 acres, housing around 500 animals. While food and drinks are already available throughout the zoo, they have started construction on a 6,000-square-foot café and events space that will overlook a new black bear habitat.

You couldn't live much closer to one of the best golf courses the midwest – and calling it the best isn't just a claim! Warren Golf Course has received the coveted Audubon International certification, has been rated the 6th best Course in Indiana and is the 12th Best College Course in the nation. This links-style course covers 250 wooded acres of rolling hills and beautiful views.
South Bend Racquet Club
Perfect for all ages and abilities, the South Bend Racquet Club offers a wide variety of leagues and classes. They have 8 tennis courts, 1 racquetball court, 20 pickleball courts, and a full line pro shop for all of your racquet needs! Their long hours make it possible for anyone to hit the court even with a busy schedule.

Snite Museum of Art
Located at the University of Notre Dame, this fine art museum holds a wide variety of about 30,000 works of art! For students, visitors, and the South Bend - Notre Dame community, The Snite Museum offers a glimpse into the artistic creations of different cultures, eras, and mediums.
Studebaker National Museum
A staple of South Bend, with history dating back to the mid-1800s, The Studebaker National Museum takes you back to the time of stagecoaches and through the city's industrial boom as Studebaker grew to be the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world.

Eddy Street Commons
Just south of Notre Dame's campus, and a short walk from Sideline Flats is the newest urban development in South Bend. Eddy Street Commons has been growing since 2009 and holds restaurants, shops, a bank, a bookstore, and other businesses. One of the latest additions to this area is Trader Joe's.
University Park Mall
